Vehicle loan Taking out the loan or lease California
Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation has a - loan under my name. I did not sign, give consent or agree to a - loan. The second loan is for the same vehicle that I had purchased ( the letters they sent home to me have a different account number than the original account, yet has the same VIN # of my car ). I filed a dispute through - as I also tried working it out with the company. It has been more than 2-3 weeks that I have been calling/emailing Nissan to fix this issue. Recently, I noticed on - - that it shows up as " paid and closed. '' Yet, it also says that I was late on a payment. Since I did NOT sign, give consent or agree to the - loan, it should NOT be showing up on my credit at all. This morning I received an email from - indicating that they contacted Nissan and got verification that the loan belongs to me. I think that it also shows up on -, but that is why I am hoping that by filing this complaint, the company will fix their mistake and report to the credit agencies that it is NOT my loan and that it was THEIR mistake, will clear everything. I am also requesting a written letter from the company indicating that they in fact did make the mistake and the steps they took within the past 3+ weeks to fix it. I want that letter just in case this issue ever comes up again and I have written proof that the loan was a mistake and it does not reflect my financial decisions.
