I MADE MY WIFE AN AUTHORIZED USER ON MY AME- ( ACCOUNT OPENED -/-/- ) BELIEVING THAT IT WOULD HELP HER CREDIT AND THAT AME- WOULD DO AS OTHER BANKS. IT ENDED UP DAMAGING HER CREDIT SCORE BECAUSE IT APPEARED AS OPENED IN -/-/-. WHEN I CALLED AME- THEY ADVISED THAT THIS WAS THEIR PROCEDURE AND I COMPLAINED BECAUSE THEY HAD NOT DISCLOSED THIS TO ME OR MY WIFE. WHEN I ASKED THEY REVERSE THIS THEY ADVISED THIS WOULD THEN APPEAR AS A CLOSED ACCOUNT ON MY WIFE 'S REPORT EVEN THOUGH NEVER DISCLOSED ANY OF THIS TO HER.
