Experian Credit reporting department,
Credit monitoring or identity protection Billing dispute California
I had an account with Experian that I set up to allow me to have unlimited access to my credit report. It was working well until they increased the minimum monthly charge by approximately double. I contacted them by phone and spoke to an Experian Customer Service representative who researched my account ( by SSN and credit information ). The rep was able to confirm the months that I was charged the higher monthly service charge and when and why the price went up. I explained to the rep that it was my understanding that the rate would n't change and was told that the situation could be rectified. I was immediately credited 2 months of service charges and am still due 5 months of charges. I have since cancelled the service ( over 1 year ago ) and still have not received the refund of approximately 5 months of remaining service charges.
