Bank of America Consumer Loan department,
Vehicle loan Taking out the loan or lease Georgia
On -/-/- my husband and I submitted a loan application to Bank of America for a car. I really did not expect to get the loan since we had a bankruptcy in -, but I thought it worth a try since we have been customers with them for the last 34 years. On -/-/- we received an email from them stating that our loan had been approved. I was ecstatic. I called BOA to find out what our next step was and was told I would receive and approval letter to take to the dealership, fill out the necessary paperwork and be on my way. We did this and spent the whole day at the dealership but left with a small car. How horrified I was to about 4-5 days later I received an email that said we were denied. How could this be! I contacted the dealership and they told us BOA would not approve the loan for the 4.79 % rate, and our paperwork had been lost, so we had to resign papers for the 6.0 % interest rate, which took our note up by a small amount. WE went in and resigned the papers and again left
go through trying to find us another lender, but when someone checks your credit report it causes your score to drop, therefore, today with the dealership trying to find us another lender our credit score has taken -- inquiries taking it even further down. I truly feel that BOA has done some unfair practices with this deal, and now we are again at square one with no solution in sight. As I stated before we have been with Bank of America 34 years, without any conflicts, except the bankruptcy, so I only did what I had been approved to do when we went to the dealership, and BOA Has been totally dishonest with us as well as the dealership. How can they lose information twice in a row. I am attaching with this complaint copies of most of the correspondence we received from BOA, they even went as far as asking us to send in documentation after the second application was filed only to turn around less than an hour later and send out more denial letters, which they always sent it twos.
