Citibank Credit card department,
On - - 2016 a check was sent to Macy 's Credit Card to pay of the entire balance. The check was deposited into Macy 's Citibank account on - - ; however, the payment was not applied to my account and as a result I was charged a late penalty + newly accrued interest when the billing cycle reset. I 've called them multiple times and Macy 's customer service told me they have no record of my payment. They then instructed me to fax in proof. I sent them a copy of the statement I was paying off in full as well as the - check image provided to me by my credit union. To date my account still does not show this payment as being applied. I was told that they do n't have a way of finding out who 's account my payment was applied to - I do n't buy that one second!
