BMW Financial Services Consumer Loan department,
Vehicle loan Managing the loan or lease Washington
In late 2010 we opened a car loan account with BMW Financial after paying by mail for a number of months, we contacted customer service at BMW Financial to set up our auto-pay. They walked me through the process, i specifically asked if I need to make an interim payment and they said no. 33 Days later I just happened to check my account, because i had not seen money removed from my bank account. i contacted BMW directly and they said I was late 33 days and needed to pay for the missing payment during the transition period. They also said although it was technically beyond 30 days, that they would not report it as late due to the circumstances. I did not realize that they had reported it as late until months later after applying for a home loan. The account was paid off entirely and they have been unhelpful in my efforts to remove the erroneous report from my credit.
