I ordered a product online from Ebay which I had done many times in the past. Using Express checkout Paypal changed default settings to Bill Me Later. I had an active Paypal balance of over $600.00 in my account I had no need for a credit card I assumed they would remove the $9.00 from my balance. I later find out they have opened a credit card, charged me late fees, and interest on $9.00. I finally called and asked they close the account. I mailed a check for the $9.00 that I owed. I called again asking them to remove late fees and interest and they did however they would not remove the $6.00 interest. This is - % interest on an item in less than 6 months. I feel I was wronged in the situation by being misled into a credit card I did n't need. I now realize they have paid fines for these actions earlier in 2015 but it appears this did n't change PayPal 's misleading practices to consumers.
