I have had this student loan since -/-/- and have been paying without missing a payment since I left school. I filed bankruptcy in -/-/-, and this account has been listed as account included in bankruptcy, bankruptcy discharged. I have never failed to pay on this loan, and have filed a dispute with the credit bureaus at least 6 times asking that the account be reflected as open and paying on time. Time and time again I have been told that the information is correct on my credit report and to contact the company, who continue to state that student loans are n't dischargable, that my credit report is right, and have continued billing me. I have continued to pay this entire time because of fear of how my credit could be even more negatively impacted, however I recently submitted a copy of my recent credit report showing that this account is being listed as a negative account with no payment history to the servicer, and was sent an email message that they needed a copy of the credit report, which I had already sent them and was in their possession. This, other than the bankruptcy is the only blemish I have on my credit history, and I believe it has negatively impacted my ability to obtain credit, qualify for lower rates, and hurt prospective jobs, which is unacceptable as I have been meeting my supposed financial obligation.
