Conventional fixed mortgage Credit decision / Underwriting Washington
We have in what we would describe as a discriminatory loan process with Bank of America over the past almost three months. See the attached information as a partial event timeline. - - - Bank of America Home Loans - - - Retail Sales Manager, Assist. VP - - - VP Home Loan Manager - - - Sr. VP, Regional Executive Time Line : - - Spoke with - about a pre-approved loan from BofA. We were given pre-approval for $600000.00 to move forward with possible house offers on - - - Talked with - about appraisal that was ordered and - told us that we should be able to close loan by first week in -. - agreement with seller to purchase house for $590000.00 - Tax returns to - Week ending - Met - so he could copy - - statements - Received Credit score information, all three well over - - received letter and Loan Estimate and initial closing cost details and paid for
letter, signed and returned with additional information requested - Escrow set up - - calls, and looking for even more clarification on retirement income and more after I had told him several times previously the same information - received letter of Notice of Incompleteness and Request for Additional Information of the same information I gave - already. I sent e-mail with the information again, including hazard insurance for current home we own and live in?? - Appraisal to me, all good. Over the next week very hard to get anyone to talk with me. Called and e-mailed asking for progress as we were approaching the first week of -. Escalated calls to managers and VP 's with days in-between responses - - LOAN SHOULD HAVE BEEN CLOSED PER ORIGINGAL CONVERSATION WITH - EARLY -. Second week of - e-mails between -, - and myself, more badgering asking us for information previously submitted, asking for more and more information that was not discussed in - - Received Notice of Conditional Approval and Loan Conditions with Loan amount $500000.00 interest rate, sales price Etc and asking again for information we had previously submitted including a - for - - monthly payments that I had already told - - BofA folks that this is my money not a pension payment. Folks not listening ... - Sent insurance binder for - House - - calling asking for additional personal information already given to BofA sent more information to her, again including gift letter, etc. - Conference call regarding - card- where did this come from this far into the process?? Also asking again for - from - - ... ... ... explained this twice already - Received - Closing Disclosure with math and other errors on pg. - of - Sent e-mails to underwriting ( copying - and - ) describing errors - no follow-up from BofA - another e-mail from - asking the same questions several days before -after I had asked for some SPECIFIC details regarding - returns, I was just getting excuses for lack of loan movement. - called - - - getting know where with - nor - and getting no response from underwriting - e-mail not working and not hearing from - called - since getting slow response with - A lot of non-productive dialogue with many BofA folks. Loan going know where. We were told that now we needed to put - % down. - - that I was -
