Bank of America has an old debt of mine that they charged off. They will not allow me to settle this debt at this point because they wrote it off as a loss but they are continually, on a monthly basis, reporting this debt to the credit bureaus as a " late payment '' every single month. Their lack of regard for consumer credit reporting laws is stopping me from cleaning up the wreckage of my past and even more worrisome is making it impossible to get a home loan.
