JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,
Unsolicited issuance of credit card California
Within 4 weeks, I have been contacted by the fraud departments for - different credit cards. Chase Amazon Rewards, -, and Chase Freedom have all said someone applied for credit cards in my name. I was contact by phone for the first - and received notices in the mail for all -. I said I had n't applied for any credit cards other than Symphony which is affiliated with a bed I purchased from - - on - -. This one is legit. The others are not. Chase Amazon and - sent me the credit cards, and I cancelled them immediately. 2 days later, a bank statement from - - - arrived in the mail. I have a valid - - card with them, but I did not open checking and savings accounts. The statement showed no activity on them. I closed these immediately too. All - banks verified the applicant had my correct name, address and birthdate, but they gave different social security numbers and phone numbers. I went to - and obtained a - report on myself and enrolled in their credit alert program. My report shows recent inquiries from these banks. My name and address is correct on all. - has an old - area code phone number from 10 years ago, but it was mine. - has a - area code phone number which I have never had. I called - and someone answered. Reverse white pages shows this to be a - - number in -, California. I do n't know who it is, but it would be worth someone investigating. I 've never had an identity attack like this before. What do I do next?
