Persolve, LLC - Legal - Series 2 Credit card department,
I had a $6500.00 - credit card account with a balance of $6100.00 in -. In - I had gotten laid off from my job and worked out a fixed payoff plan and had paid over $2000.00 by -. I missed - payment and they bounced the balance up to $6500.00 stating the reasoning was because of the payment arrangement that we had. I told them that I would agree to settle with the remaining $4000.00, and felt cheated since they basically " stole '' $2100.00 from me, but they would not have it. They ended up sending me to collections and then put a lien on my house. That house was sold in a short sale in - and in - I got notification that - was attempting to collect $10000.00. I ignored it and figured it was a scam because I never had any account with them for $10000.00. Now I am trying to buy a house, it is over 8 years since I had the debt, and I come to find out that a company called PERSOLVE, LLC ( Account Resolution Associates ) is claiming I owe them $10000.00, apparently from this credit card account, and is preventing me from buying a house. Should n't this have been settled with the Lien in -? How can they legally come to me 6 years after the lien and try and collect over 2 times my remaining balance of $4000.00?
