Citibank Credit card department,
In - I made a purchase under $25.00 using my Macy 's card. The following month I paid the full balance. A few months later I tried to use my Macy 's card but was declined. I called Macy 's customer care and was told that they received the full payment, however there was $5.00 interest fee applied after the billing cycled closed. That 's why I could n't use my card. I paid the $5.00 while on the phone with the Macy 's Rep. She told me I had a zero balance. I said I 've been told that before, but look what happened. She stated she would note the account in case additional fees were again applied. About a month later, - - I tried to use my card and again was told it was declined. I called Customer Care again and found now there was a $2.00 charge sitting on my account unpaid so the account was deemed delinquent. The Rep saw the notes on the account, apologized and waived the $2.00 but advised me my $1200.00 credit limit had been dropped to $100.00. My credit report now shows that I was 30 days or more delinquent for an amount less than $24.00. I 'm disputing the negative rating score. If you pay the balance, that mean 's there 's nothing left owed. You should not be surprised with a $5.00 or $2.00 fee after the balance was 'paid in full ' and have your credit destroyed. The most I have ever charged on the card was $240.00 and I always paid the balances in full within 45 days. On -/-/- I called Macy 's and verified that my balance is truly -, then closed the account. I 've never had issues like this with the other Department stores I have lines of credit with, only experienced this with Macy 's. : o (
