I contacted Trans Union to dispute information on my Trans Union credit file regarding a - private student loan because of numerous credit reporting errors including misrepresentation the data furnisher is providing Trans Union. I spoke with - at Trans Union ( United States ) on - -. The conversation lasted 50 minutes, and specifically detailed the innaccurate account reporting, description, and status of both - private student loans. 1 ) .The accounts both report date of first deliquency beginning - and -. The report indicates otherwise as fdate of deliquency - and -. 2 ) Credit report dated - relfected erroneous account information again. Reported as " Charge-off ''. - - called - customer serivice the same day to verify the account status and - - - verified " not charged off ''. ( See attatched doc # - ) 3 ). The
4 ) The account responsibility is incorrect. 5 ) The account number is not listed. What is listed is my social security number. Education loans are no longer permitted to use social security numbers as account numbers. This is a compliance issue the CFPB and FTC should investigate the use of social security numbers as account numbers on ( educational loans and credit reports ) as it can create a security and privacy issue. ==================================================================== Violations of Fair Credit Reporting and Truth In lending 12.CFR 10 22.40-43 Furnishers Rule Regulation V Subpart E. ( Request for CFPB Administrative Proceeding ) Trans Union ( CRA ) does not fully comply with furnishers rule and often neglects to use - format during the reporting and investigation process resulting in systematic inaccuracy. The data furnisher continues to supply false and erroneous account information to the credit bureau including payment history, account status, responsibility, and other false or inaccurate information leading to logical inconsistancy. Trans Union does not maintain reasonable procedures in cases of disputed accuracy and willfully ignores disputes, resulting in no correction. Information must be one hundred percent accurate or must be deleted. - - has disputed the account previously under fair credit billing which the data furnisher and CRA has not met FCBA or FCRA rules, in addition data furnisher, or assignee violates other lstate or federal laws.
