After receiving an email from Chase, I called to close a dormant CD ( from interest they did not provide at cd closure ). The representative told me he was unable to close my account, but could transfer it to my savings account and I could go into a branch to close it. I told him I did not have a savings account and he said yes I did and confirmed that my name and my social was on a savings account. I explained this was strange, but agreed. I then went into the branch -/-/- to close the savings account, only to find someone else had already withdrawn the money as there were other UN-known customers also on the savings account?? When the representative pulled the signature card they found that I was not officially listed on the savings account ( only in the computer ) - and that in some merger with Bank One my name had been electronically added to this savings account in error. He did confirm the CD where the funds came from was solely my account, but the savings that they transferred my funds into had others on it - and I had been


Understanding how confusing this was agreed to leave the branch, giving them time to figure it out. It is now -/-/-, over 2 entire weeks later and I still have no answers and no money. They finally took the branch out of the loop and gave me an executive representative, who left me a voicemail and I have called back twice on different days now with no return call back so we have yet to even speak after 3 more days now. I feel I have been more than patient in giving the bank more than two weeks to figure out the bank error, but at this point feel I am being taken advantage of. It has already been confirmed the CD was solely in my social security number ( and have received - ) and that the savings account my funds were placed into was not mine and not withdrawn by me. This is clearly bank error, and admittedly so by the branch, I do not understand what is taking so long to gain access to my funds. Very frustrating by getting absolutely no attention whatsoever by the bank even after I had it escalated. So very scary that their system has added me to an account that I 'm not on and if crooked could have accessed?? Chase has given my money to someone else and are not willing to fix their error. Help me, this is unfair!!!!
