I opened a bank account with Wells Fargo, was told I was approved, ordered checks, was given a temporary debit card, deposited money into a checking and savings account. Then received letter in the mail stating my accounts were being closed and they would return my money. I lost my job and faced financial hardship years ago during the recession, I owed Wells Fargo money which I have since paid off and worked hard to re-establish my credit. I went to Wells Fargo for their second chance banking account, believing they wanted to give people a second chance. When I applied I was told I qualify for a normal checking account so I got that instead. Only to be told later they do not want my business for a mistake I made years ago and am trying to make amends for.
