Bank of America Credit card department,
Credit line increase/decrease Kentucky
On - -, 2016, I received an email from Bank of America suggesting that I update my income information for the purpose of receiving a credit line increase. The email explicitly assured me that BofA would not request a copy of my credit report. On - -, 2016, I updated my income information, requesting the credit line increase, and on - -, 2016, BofA requested a copy of my credit report. I called BofA on - -, 2016, and the representative was entirely unhelpful, suggesting the email was not from BofA, even though when I logged in to my account to update the information, a pop-up opened up with the exact same information that was in the email, again assuring that my credit would not be checked. The same pop up came up when I logged out, even though I had just done as it suggested. That totals THREE PROMISES by BofA that it would NOT pull my credit report, and then it pulled it anyway.
