A supposed law firm called my landlord claiming they 've been trying to reach me for weeks with no luck to serve me papers. My landlord notified me and gave me their number. I called them and this was my experience. I thought it was very strange that a law firm representative would be in at - on a Friday -. I thought I 'd get a recording. I heard a lot of background noise and the guy that answered said that he could n't give me specific information. He said he had called my relative, referring to my landlord, because he could n't get a hold of me. I pressed him about what he needed me for and how he tried to get a hold of me and he told me that be needed to put me on hold and transfer me to another " representative '' of the law firm. When I was transferred, the lady that answered told me I had to pay a certain


get reference numbers she said I could n't until I got " served ''. When I pressed her on being served she was very vague and said she guessed it had n't happened because of all the bad weather we 've been having and the bad weather headed our way. I got her name, phone number and told her I 'd call back Monday after I verified things. She then tried to scare me into paying tonight by saying I 'd be served at any time for failure to pay. Then she said if I called in Monday and paid, she could hold off on serving me. It scared me though how persistent she was and the fact that they called you all! They 've not been to my house at all. They 've sent me nothing in the mail either. I did n't catch the name of the supposed law firm either because he spoke so quickly and I remember it being kind of generic, like initials and then LLC.
