Payday loan Cont'd attempts collect debt not owed Debt is not mine Texas
I received a call from Diversified Adjustment Service Inc. indicating they were attempting to collect a debt on a payday loan I never solicited or received. The call was followed by a letter I received on -/-/- ( the letter itself dates to -/-/- ). I called in reply to the letter, and confirmed that in order to dispute it formally, I had to do so in writing, which I did the same day via email. I sent documents in support of my position that I never received any such loan - specifically bank deposit statements from the period in question showing no deposit of any kind for the amount in question. The collection agency claimed the original loan was issued on -/-/-, and then remanded to collection later ( around - of - ), however I received no communication until - - mostly in the form of phone calls from differing numbers, none of which can be returned at the same number. After formally disputing the debt in writing on -, a call was made to me at - - on -, demanding immediate payment of the debt, in violation of and in indifference to the following : -.
original creditor, the debt collector shall cease collection of the debt, or any disputed portion thereof, until the debt collector obtains verification of the debt or any copy of a judgment, or the name and address of the original creditor, and a copy of such verification or judgment, or name and address of the original creditor, is mailed to the consumer by the debt collector. I have made several attempts to contact the original claimant, - - - -, who remain at this time unreachable by phone to me - only customer service and technical support are reachable. I was transferred to someone from HR/Payroll, however, my call instantly went to voicemail, and has as yet not been returned. My login for the Agent Services page on the company 's HTML site ( - ) is valid, but the page has no content other than a link to the site homepage, and the link to the agent services page ( - ) on the homesite ( - ) is currently locked, with technical support having sent me an email claiming it will fix the problem within 48 hours. At present however, neither the original claimant ( - - - - ) nor the debt collection agency have provided any documented proof of the debt, or given me reasonable access to it.
