Credit reporting company's investigation investigation took too long
TransUnion Credit reporting department,
Credit reporting company's investigation Investigation took too long New York
I first sent out my disputes to the - CRAs on - via fax and certified mail the same day. I only sent - letter to TransUnion without " additional information ''. This is the way that everyone sends in their disputes. I received a letter today stating that my original letter was received on -/-/- and " additional information '' was received on -/-/-, therefore they have an additional 15 days and that it will be completed on -/-/- instead of the 30 days mandated by law under FCRA - -. This is unlawful ; I never sent anything other than my - letter with identification. They are not allowed to do this. I know many people who have done the same thing and they did not receive letters as such and I have also consulted an attorney and they said this is against the law. They MUST process within 30 days.
