JPMorgan Chase & Co. Credit card department,
Application processing delay Missouri
I am rebuilding credit following a chapter - bankruptcy discharged in - -. I have limited new credit established and decided to apply for a Chase Freedom card on -/-/- which was described to be the type of credit card good for those with previous credit challenges or need a second chance. I had not receive a response on the application after more than 30 days. I called Chase - - around -/-/- to find out the status. I was told the application was denied and a letter was sent to me. I did n't receive it so I requested a copy to be mailed to me again. The representative said he would process my request. As of -/-/-, I had not received the denial letter, following my request for a copy. I called again and asked to speak with a Lending Supervisor to express my concern. I finally received the denial letter dated -/-/- which is over 60 days from the date of my application. Additionally the letter says I applied for the Chase Slate Visa - credit card which is the incorrect product. I believe Chase did not handle my request within regulations regarding the product type and timing to send me a response on the credit decision.
