Received letter from - -, - on behalf of Bank of America. - - ( - - - - - - ). - - could not provide debt validation. The situation was a nuisance and we settled via a stipulation for $2500.00 with -. - - did not disclose to us he was working with - - - - a debt collector law firm. - - - never provided any information to us via the FDCPA. We were completely unaware of their involvement in this matter until an email was sent to us by mistake on - indicating they were in fact acting as an agent for Bank of America. We then contacted Bank of America , - - , CEO and were directed to a - - after many communications - - indicated this evening we were out of luck. The stipulation was signed # -, it did not matter that the collection agent - - - was not disclosed to us. When I asked for debt validation he said the " statute of limitations had run out '' and " he was unable to provide the validation ''. It did not matter as we signed # - on the stipulation. I indicated to - - had any of this been disclosed to us we never would have entered into a stipulation. Had we known - - was involved along with - we would not have agreed to any of this with Bank of America. There was deception in the lack of disclosure to us by Bank of America, - - - - - -. - - was clear it would be punitive measures on our credit report as well.
