The client 's mother passed away. She provided the death certificate and deed showing that the house was in her name. We asked for an assumption and modification of the loan. It took Wells Fargo months to even code that the borrower had died and they refuse to accept the deed as proof of ownership and pursuant to the law provide an assumption.
