Installment loan Managing the loan or lease Managing the loan or lease Texas
I made a $1500.00 payment in - of 2015 to One Main Financial, which brought my loan balance down to $6900.00 and should have paid my loan up for 5 months. I subsequently made a payment of $270.00 in -, which brought my balance down to $6800.00. I also made a $270.00 payment in - and - but neither of those payments was applied to my balance. On - -, when I noticed the balance had not changed on my statements since -, I contacted One Mail Financial. The manager, -, stated that the accumulated interest is the reason my payments were not applied to my balance. I asked him how that could be when the $1500.00 payment I made in - should 've have covered my payments for at least 5 months. He could not give me an explanation other than saying the interest still accrued, even though my monthly payment is $260.00, and I paid $1500.00 to cover my next - payments.
