Synchrony Bank Credit card department,
We use a Synchrony Bank Lowes credit card for purchases. They offer us a promotional no interest payment option for 6 months on purchases over $290.00. However, payment is required, like any normal credit card on purchases that are less than $290.00. On the statement, there is nowhere to determine how much our payment should be to the bank, in order to not pay any interest on the non promotional purchases. The only payment information they show us on the statement is the full statement balance, which included the promotional purchases, and the minimum payment, which is $25.00. I would like to know the amount that I need to pay in order to not pay any interest, or receive any other fees for late payments. Also, this information should be made readily available on every single statement, as it is currently deceiving to only show the minimum payment
For example, if I purchased $500.00 on a 6 month non-interest promotional plan, and then purchased another $200.00 as a regular purchase, the amount needed to pay off the credit card to avoid late penalties would be simply $200.00 for month 1. If that amount was not paid in full in month 1, then it would include interest charges plus the amount not paid in month 2. There is nowhere on the statement that shows what that $200.00 balance is. I have contacted customer representatives twice, but they do not understand what we are asking, and do not fully give us an answer .... It seems like they may even be intentionally deceiving us.
