Amex Credit card department,
Credit card protection / Debt protection Texas
Unauthorized charges were made on my AME- Credit Card ( on -/-/15 ) and several things happened : ( 1 ) In calling AME-, they could not take the dispute as the charges were " pending '', and I had to wait until it was cleared ( it cleared on -/-/15 ). ( 2 ) The representative accused me of making the purchase as they were made online. ( 3 ) I have disputed the charges - again - online through AME- 's website, and uploaded documents. I had to upload documents proving that I was not in the same state when the purchases were made " in person ''. I have asked AME- for the name of their attorney or other person who will be investigating the unauthorized charges and investigating me. ( - ) I believe that AME- withheld information that there was some issue with the credit card. On - -, 2015, I attempted to purchase a less than $10.00 product online from -. They refunded the purchase and stated that they believe there was suspicious activity with the card. I reviewed all my purchases from - -, 2015 and earlier and noted no unauthorized transactions. I believe there was information available to - that my credit card information was stolen and was being used to create a new and fake credit card. AME- should have known this if a small company like - knew it.
