When I sent a letter requesting Midland Funding to validate an alleged debt and provide their Texas license and bonding information ( as required by Texas law ) they not only did not send the information but sent me a letter refusing to validate the debt. A few months later they placed major derogatory information on all - of my credit reports. This ruined an excellent financing opportunity I 'd applied for at about the same time. The specific reason I was declined was due to their recent illegal reporting of a collection.
