My home equity line came due in - 2015. I 've had the loan for 10 years. I was not given notice or warning that a balloon payment was due. It was n't until I saw that my credit score going down did I realize that my bank considered me delinquent on this loan. I have continued to make payments on the line, but because of the derogatory credit items that they have placed on my credit report, I am no longer credit worthy to qualify for a new loan. Today I received a notice that my loan was in default.
