I contacted Wells Fargo to see if they could compete with an auto loan offer I received from a credit union. I was assured that they would be able to offer a loan at or below 3 %, I made sure this was the case before proceeding with the application. The loan was approved, but at 5 %, rather than the promised 3 %. I feel I was misled into applying for the loan that was not desirable.
