I have a - 's credit card. The store ( s ) billed me for - extra water heaters to my home over charging me $1100.00. The bank serviced by - Bank told me I had to see the store which I did. It took over a week & more than a few trips to resolve. In the meantime my closing statement of -/-/2015 was showing me OVER limit & requiring a larger payment since the error put me $94.00 over limit. I called their customer service # & spoke to - who was very uninformed to the credit biz which I have been in OVER 49 years. I told her about the error & wanted to know what my payment should be before -/-/2015 & she insisted it was the $420.00 which was on the inflated balance of $1100.00. I told her that was n't right & she kept stating the payment was based on the average daily balance. If I do n't owe the money how could I have a balance that high? She kept saying the same thing over & over & I was getting no where with this ill informed clerk. I paid the higher payment & got the next billing with a -/-/15 cut off but only crediting me with the returns & not the interest credit. If I owe - & they make a mistake of $5000.00 the first day of my billing my average daily balance is $5000.00, but I owe NOTHING! So they bill [email protected] % turn around & give me the $5000.00 credit back on the next statement & NO interest credit so I have been charged 21.00 % for - month or 1.75 % for the month on $5000.00 or $87.00 in interest NOT due them. This probably does n't put them in a violation of exceeding credit card limitations on rates in Florida but it might elsewhere. But they sure are stealing a ton of money from the public!
