I had a credit card payment due on Sunday. The following Monday was a Federal Holiday and the Branch where I make my payments was closed. I made the payment on Tuesday. I was charged a late payment charge and interest on my next statement. I called the Bank 's Credit Card Processing Services and they said they would credit the late payment charge as a courtesy but would not credit the interest charge. The supervisor told me I should have made the payment on the Saturday prior to the due date. Are the late charges and interest proper on the banks behalf?
