Synchrony Bank Credit card department,
-/-/-We opened our account a few years ago with Walmart. We paid consistently on our account until we lost our house -/-/-. We made contact with the credit card company ( synchrony bank ) and they said there was noting that they could help us with unless I had lost my Job. They called our house several times a day/night and would leave messages on our voice mail almost every time, they would also call my cell phone multiple times a day and leave messages on it. We started to get things back on track, then my father passed away -/-/-, again we made contact with them and again they said there was nothing they could do unless I had lost my job, even with the insurance that I paid for that the credit card company provided. Again the calls continued 2, 3, and 4 times a day at my home and on my cell phone. We told them to stop calling us and harassing us and they ignored us. We then received a letter from the credit company saying that they needed payment or that they were going to take us to court. We agreed to pay $25.00 a month. Then we received a court notice saying that they needed a letter, explaining in written what we owed with in 21 days. I guess that the card company does not keep agreements that they say they 're going to keep. I have learned that there is a government agency that helps consumers with companies that abuse Federal Regulations such as the Dodd-Frank, The FDCPA, The FTC, The TCPA and The TILA called the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. This letter is also being sent to them -. Consumers should not feel threatened by big companies calling multiple times a day and that have - Attorneys to intimidate the little people. We agreed to pay $25.00 a month on our account of $1300.00 and that 's what we 're going to pay.
