Synchrony Bank Credit card department,
I closed a - account in 2010. There was a balance and I had signed up for automatic payments to be drafted from my account. I received a notice that my credit profile had changed and when I investigated, I found that the card changed - - to Synchony Bank and that they had stopped the autodraft on my account. I contacted the Synchrony Bank to complain and they claimed they would credit me the late fee and remove the credit reporting from my account and send me new paperwork to restart the autodraft. I returned the autodraft form and received a second notice today that my - score dropped because they payment was late. my new statement states they will autodraft the amount overdue ... why did n't they just autodraft the appropriate amount to start? I tried to call the Bank and speak to customer service but received a recorded message that they were having technical difficulties and was disconnected. My - score has dropped - points now and the interest rate on this card jumped to $ 27 %. I would like my credit score restored and the late fees refunded and my previous rate of 12 % restored
