NAVIENT has contacted me via mail, telephone and email ( somehow they have reached out to me and my co-borrower via e-mail, though I have never provided them with this information ) about - private student loan disbursements that I have no record or knowledge of ever obtaining. I have since fallen past due on amounts for both of these loans and when I called NAVIENT to seek an economic hardship forbearance and/or deferment of any sort, they told me that they required a significant payment in order to process any kind of deferment or forbearance. I am attempting to research these - loan disbursements, but I wanted to have a forbearance granted in the meantime while I figured out what exactly these accounts pertained to. NAVIENT refuses to work with me in any way, shape or form, and they seem determined to ruin my credit over unverified debts in the process.
