I contacted Macy 's credit card customer service in -. I had been off work for medical issues and needed help making my credit card payments for awhile. I talked to a woman who said she would set me up on a 12 month program. She was reducing my monthly payment to - dollars, lowering my interest rate to 3 percent and moving my due date to the - of every month. In order to do this I had to close my account, which I agreed to do. I logged into the credit card website in - to make my payment, and my account reflected the payment program. I made the - dollar payment as agreed and was charged - dollars and some change in interest. Come -, I log into my account to make my payment. Well now my payment plan looks to be non existant, my account is still closed and I 'm showing as - dollars past due! I desperately try to get anyone to help me. I called over - times and each person told me they could n't help me and to call back. They gave me the number to the department who handles hardship
help me or even acknowledge me!!! This is ruining my credit!! I feel I was lied to, mislead, and tricked into being put on a program and having my account closed when that 's not what actually even happened! I need someone to help me! When you look at my statement for -, it shows a payment plan and 3 % interest, but when you look at my - statement it reflects - dollars of interest, late fees, and past due amounts! This is seriously stressing me out. I feel like they have all this control over my credit and are just ruining it.
