Citibank Credit card department,
Citibank sent balance transfer checks to be used to transfer balances up to my available credit at time of transfer. I submitted a check to 1 of my creditors on -/-/15. I had more than - in available credit. On receipt of the $1400.00 bal transfer check -/-/15, Citibank decreased my credit limit by $5300.00 on -/-/15 & refused to honor the check. They sent out a letter after the fact stating bogus & vague generalized reasons. This is an unfair practice that caused a returned item with the other creditor. I have asked them to stop sending me checks because they are misrepresenting. They said they could not stop them from being sent. I am very displeased. I 've been with Citibank for 20 years. I make my payments on time and I pay more than the minimum due most times. I 'd like the matter investigated & that check honorees, as well as them to stop sending me checks unless I request them.
