I, - -, am writing to bring to the CFPB 's attention regarding Bank of America 's violation of the FCRA act. They reported wrong information to my credit report abou an account 30 day past due '' due to the bank 's error. -Statements of Fact-I have - credit cards with Bank of America ( BofA '' ). I made a payment of $250.00 to my - Signature Visa card on - 2015, and BofA applied the payment to the wrong account, which had a - balance, and it resulted in a credit balance of $250.00. The bank then reported my account as 30 day past due '' to all - major credit reporting agencies. I spoke to an employee at their local branch, and the employee told me it 's a glitch. I only want them to update my account to accurately reflect that my account was never late. For the record, both of my credit cards have a - balance as of -/-/2015. Customer respectfully asks the CFPB to take any actions it deems necessary to bring Bank of America ( BofA '' ) into compliance with all applicable federal banking laws and regulations, including, but not limited to the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). If Bank of America does not take action to correct the inaccurate information, customer also plans to initiate legal action in Court, pursuant to the FCRA.
