Amex Credit card department,
On - -, 2015, my wife and I went to this presentation for a timeshare while on vacation in -. The - salesmen, - and - ( do n't know their last names ) gave us their sales pitch. We had no intention of buying into another timeshare, but they made it sound so good that we fell for it. We gave - our AmEx card and he would not accept it because he said the fees were to high on it and asked if we had another credit card we could use. Gave him our - card and he ran it through, but it was denied because we did n't let - know ahead of time that we would be making a purchase outside of the country. Being it was the weekend, we could n't talk personally with anyone at - to have it approved. Then - asked for the AmEx card back and told us that he could get around these fees if he ran the card through -. I then asked, your sure we wo n't be charged any fees? He said, we do this all the time and you will not have any fees on your
got a recording, this number is not a working number ''. I tried several times without success. On -/-/2015 I get an email from - - asking for a scan copy of my ownership certificate at the - -, supposedly she is to sell this for us, that was part of the - purchase deal. She also wanted a scan copy of the Escrow Liquidation Contract '' that we had with them. I have not sent a scan copy of either of these. I then told her about my situation and she was sympathic about the fees. She told me she would send a report to her supervisor and Director and to expect him to contact me. On -/-/2015, approximetly at - a - - called me. I explained the situation to him. I asked if he knew the - salesmen, - and -, he said, yes. I told him I tried to email -, which would n't go through and I called - and I got the recording, this number is not a working number ''. He tells me, sometimes it 's really hard to call into - and had no excuse for - 's email not going through. He told me he would contact them and have them get in touch with me. That has never happened. He also said, he would take care of this matter and that it would be 30 to 45 days to have the transaction fees credited to my AmEx card. That has long gone by. After this, I get a call from AmEx and they tell me someone used my Amx card and that I would have to get a new card and number. So after that happened I then emailed - to tell - - to contact me because he would need my new number to have those fees credited to my account. Going back a bit, when I was talking with - -, he told me that I could reach him through - -. She 's just his go-between and all I 'm getting now is a big run around. He 's out of the country, but he will be back soon and he has a phone meeting scheduled for you, etc., etc. I contacted AmEx and they have been invistigating this, going on 3 months now. I am disputing the entire amount of $22000.00, including the fees and yesterday, I received a letter from AmEx and they have informed me that - will not refund my money. I am just sick about this. They lied and misled us. I am going to fight this for all I 'm worth. They really baited us. I do n't have this kind of money to loose and I hope whoever else has been - over by these cheats will come forward and maybe, just maybe they will be held accountable for what they have done and we will get our money refunded.
