Capital One Credit card department,
My Capital One credit card payment is due on the - of the month. While scheduling the payment, on the evening of the -/-/- I discovered that I had been charged a $25.00 fee because I did not make my payment before -. I receive paper statements in the mail and make my payments electronically. Nowhere on the bill did I see that I would be charged $25.00 on the - if I did n't pay by -. I have never been charged a late fee by a company when I 've set down and made the payment on the date due and it is wrong for them to set some arbitrary time during the day of the due date to pay the bill. This is just a scam to create fees on accounts that are in the interest free period. From now on I 'll be sure to schedule the payments on the - to avoid this.
