I recently became aware of an item on my credit. I moved from - - in -. I was on - and was given full clearance from my - worker and - manager - - that I had nothing holding me back. My rent was paid up and I was allowed to relocate which I did in - -. I continued under the - - program until - -. On - -, - while trying to prepare for home ownership it was brought to my attention that I owed - - $1300.00 despite never even receiving my security deposit back. Immediately I began calling - - for answers. My first attempt was on - -, - and was prompted to leave a message. On - -, - I called - - again and this time I spoke with - who 's not the property manager but was very nice and helpful. After speaking with her I was finally able to get a copy of the bill that she was reading to me faxed. Immediately after receiving the fax I called by for an explanation because the bill states that I paid them rent of $1100.00 but they in turn used


- still had to leave a message and no one has returned my calls. Finally on - -, - I attempted to go by the management office in hopes of speaking with the property manager. The property manager - was very rude and nasty. She stated off the top of the conversation that she 'd spoken to me and told me that all I needed to do was file a complaint. I advised her that her and I had never spoken before but she continued to talk over me in a loud forceful tone stating that yes she did. Now at this point I do n't even know her name and I repeatedly told her we 'd never spoke before I promise you. Finally after getting no where and her not wanting to discuss the matter I asked her if her name was - and she said no it 's - I stated see I told you I never spoke with you before. Ultimately she did nothing and said basically the charges are what they are. When asked why this bill was n't forwarded to my - - caseworker she stated that they do n't do that.I asked her why because the caseworker knows where to find you and if you get let go from the - - program for any reason and you still have a balance somewhere within the - system they can enforce that balance by either a judgement against your tax return or by civil suit. When asked why it was never forwarded to me she stated that they rely on the postal service for forwarding bills. They send the bills to your old address which is the apartment you just moved out of and if you do n't forward your mail not their problem. When I explained that I had my mail forwarded for a year she became irate and did n't want to talk anymore. She begin stating that she was n't here at the time and she was sent from corporate to clean-up the books and get the place in order. I thanked her for coming to do that and since she was n't willing to talk I left and told her to have a wonderful day.
