Amex Credit card department,
I went online to American Express - and booked a hotel room for - nights, was quoted around $140.00 a night for the - nights a total with tax of around $320.00, and when I hit accept it charged me instead for a total of $420.00 and booked me for a larger room. When I called to rectify the situation with American Express they failed to take responsibility and rectify the situtuation, failed to make me whole in any way, shape, or form, failed to accept responsibility for the gliche in their website, and failed to accommodate me in any way. I spoke with - - in customer service as well as several others in - customer service and got no assistance at all. I found the correct room online with -, and asked for them to refund but it would take 10 busienss day to process the refund at which time I would lose the deal for the better rated room.
