Incorrect information on credit report Account status Pennsylvania

Midland Funding , LLC a collection company is listed on both - and - credit bureaus as a collection account for - dating back to 1999. The original creditor was - with whom I had the telephone account. - was not able to provide documentation as to why I owed on this account. I had - phone service for many years and always paid for my phone service. I could pay this and make it go away but I do n't think it is fair that they are pursuing collection activity for something I do not owe.
