When I signed up for the American Express - - credit card a few years ago, I had a - membership number that was tied to that account. Sometimes last year, however, that - member number expired and I signed up with a new - membership with a different membership number. About 4 months ago, I was told by American Express that my - - - was a victim of ID Theft and that they were going to issue a new card to me. After a couple of weeks waiting for my new card, I contacted American Express customer service to find out why. They told me that it was because they had my old expired - membership number tied with that credit card, and according to American Express, in order to have the - - credit card, it requires an active - membership. I explained to them my situation, that I have a new membership number with -. They told me to fill out a form to link my new membership number with the credit card. About 2 months ago, I linked my new - membership number with my credit card and contacted American Express to send me my
they told me they cancelled my American Express - - credit card without my consent! Then the representative started asking me about my personal info ( SSN, Birthdate, Income ), and when I asked him why he needed all that information, he told me he was going to apply for a new credit card for me to my surprise! Since I just wanted my credit card, I gave him all that info. A couple weeks past, and I still had n't get my credit card. Last week, I spoke with the supervisor of American Express over the phone and explained to him the situation and filed a complaint with him, and the supervisor promised '' me that my credit card will be arriving on -/-/2015 and that he will be calling me to follow up if I received it. I did not receive my credit card. I have already put a lot of patience into this issue and have put as much effort that I could to get my credit card, and I do n't know what else to do besides write this letter.
