Complaint - settled all of my credit cards with a lawful financial instrument under -There are no rules regarding how debts are to be settled as long as lawful. Banks are misreporting : Barclays, -, - Bank, - and - -. Credit report shows a charge off but they never returned the instrument and under - - states that even if the settlement is declined or rejected the debt is settled. Notwithstanding that all these banks and credit reporting agencies received the complaint, they have been trying to duck and dive around the law. I need help getting this cleared off my credit reportI am an insurance agent and companies with whom I contract are denying my applications and it is affecting my income
