I had an American Express credit card. I closed this card more than a year ago. About two months ago I got a bill for credit secure service charge on this card, which had been closed. The card no. ends in -. I called the credit card company agent on phone and explained the situation to him. I had not applied for credit secure service and I asked him how the charges were applied to a credit card that had been closed earlier. He agreed to cancel the charges and close the card again. Now again I am being subjected to the same experience. Somehow the credit card has been reopened and a charge for credit secure service has been added again. Some late charges have also been added to these charges. I have contacted the customer service agent on telephone today and spoken to him. I asked him how the card has been reopened to apply this charge. He said he does not have any information about closing of the card. He said he can cancel the late charges, but can not remove the credit secure charges. He forwarded me to their credit secure telephone number. However only automated replies were available and no human was available to discuss my situation. I feel that I am being harassed by the credit card company.
