I was just reading this link about the bankruptcy with - Colleges. - -. There is a section stating that this case does not include federal loans and to contact your servicer for more information and to file a complaint if they do not provide information. I called Genesis and was told that the ruling did not include private loans, only federal loans. I am worried because Genesis sold my loan to another company and they will be handling my payments as of - -, 2015. Am I misunderstanding your link? I was under the impression that Genesis loans were the loans to be reduced 40 %? If they 've sold my loan does this mean they will not have to do this? I feel I was mislead by -. I was only aware of my Genesis loans, not the additional $26000.00 in federal loans and I can not afford to pay -. That would total $560.00 a month on my $ - salary. What do I need to do to become part of this?
