Legal Prevention Services, LLC. Debt Collection Complaint

Improper contact or sharing of info talked to a third party about my debt

Legal Prevention Services, LLC. Debt collection department,

Improper contact or sharing of info Talked to a third party about my debt Massachusetts

I received a voicemail message from - '' at Legal Prevention Services '' looking for my boyfriends mother. My boyfriend received the same phone call about - minutes later. I did not answer, so a voicemail message was left on my phone revealing the full name of my boyfriends mother and the fact that she owed a debt. Upon returning the phone call and immediately stating that I had received a message in reference to a debt owed by a person other than myself, she asked me for the number that she had reached me at and again stated the full name of my boyfriends mother and that her call was in reference to a debt. She continued to elaborate stating that when a debt reaches a certain stage, they use an internet search to locate any possible associates of the debtor and are authorized to contact them. Although this may be true ( I personally think its wrong ) she can not reveal to me that a debt is owed, and she did this - to me and - when she spoke to my boyfriend. From a quick - search it would appear that this agency '' violates the FDCPA with each and every phone call it makes.
