-/-/- :. I sent a check to Afni for - for an account that was sent to collections by -/-. I got another letter for a bill for $59.00. I sent a check. Both checks cleared in -/-/-. -/-/- : I was trying to get service with -. I was told that I had a past due balance of $59.00 from -. I sent cancelled checks from my bank showing proof that this account was paid in -/-/-. I thought the issue was resolved because - at - investigated my account and informed me the payment was applied to another account. -/-/- : I got a copy of my credit reports and there is a collection on my account from AFNI for $59.00 from -/-/- for a debt in -/-/-. No one called me from this company or sent me a letter to let me know this account was in collections. I called spoke with - and he attempted to mislead me saying the


this is an attempt to collect a debt and ask me if I wanted to pay by check or credit card ''. I informed him that I will dispute this situation with the credit bureaus and I have. I also sent a copy of the cancelled check to AFNI at support recovery along with a copy of the my account to show that the checks cleared and I did n't have any NSF 's. This is an ongoing issue that is impacting my credit. I am upset with - - for not resolving the issue and AFNI for not giving me the chance to show proof of payment prior to putting this information on my credit report. Please help. BTW, my address has not changes in 5 years or my phone number and no one attempted to call me.
