Synovus Bank Credit Card Complaint

Synovus Bank Credit card department,

Privacy Indiana

About two weeks ago I merely started an online application with First Progress, a - secured credit card company. I did not finish the application. I did not make a deposit. I did not fund a secured card. I did not open an account. I did not receive a credit card in the mail. Yet I found out that First Progress intends to send the private and personal information in the application I did not finish to the credit reporting agencies. This is a breach of privacy. Especially since I did not finish the application, did not make a deposit, did not fund a secured card, did not open an account and did not receive a First Progress secured credit card in the mail. When I finally managed to find an actual working phone number for First Progress I explained the situation and I was told that they will forward my information to only the - major credit reporting agencies '' anyway. The - time I called I asked for an email address to contact them about a serious privacy issue in writing, and I was told that First Progress does not have a customer service email address but I could have the number to someone else to see if they knew the email address because they 're, uh, they 're like corporate. '' That number turned out to be a fax number. I called back, got nowhere and ended by informing them of my decision to file a complaint.
