- -, - representing Pinnacle Credit Servicices LLC has put a derogatory mark on my Credit Report. I had cancelled my service with - over 7 years ago and they are saying that I owe them evidence to support my dispute on my Credit Report. I sent a letter to - 7 years ago diputing the alleged amount they were stating that I owed. I called - and cancelled my account with them, and told them to turn the phone off because it had been stolen. The thief somehow got the phone re-activated and was using it without my knowledge. I refused to pay the amount owing because I had disconnected my service when the phone had gotten stolen. Pinnacle is asking for substantiating evidence, including a police report ect, a notorized affidavit or a filed court order, and they need that within 5 days. This was a debt from over 7 years ago! They put this on my credit report after the statue of limitations, like it was a new debt! This needs to be taken off NOW! It is effecting the amount of my Car insurance and may effect me getting a loan in the future. At the bottom of the letter it states that This is a communication from a Debt collector. This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information will be used for that purpose '' I had told - not to contact me about this debt, now they are doing it under a collection agency.
